Throughout this video I was in absolute shock at how unaccommodating movie theaters are to deaf people. In this YouTube video two deaf men go to the movies to record the experience and bring awareness. When they first arrive at the theater, the employees offer them headphones, even after telling them that they were deaf. The men then asked for the captiview device which is supposed to have captions for deaf people to read. The devices that they got were dirty, didn't have batteries at first, and were not in sync with the actual movie being played. Watching this made me extremely sad for people that are hard of hearing and made me wonder why movie theaters aren't more accommodating and I hope that this video brought enough attention that moves are being made to make the movies a more enjoyable experience for deaf people and people that are hard of hearing.
